CMC's Wilderness Trekking School

The Wilderness Trekking School is a comprehensive course on hiking in the Colorado mountains; on- and off-trail, map & compass, nutrition, gear, weather, handling an emergency, and more. Colorado Mountain Club presents 5 Tuesday lectures plus 5 field sessions (your choice of Thurs, Sat, or Sundays) to teach you how to travel safely in the backcountry. Learn and practice new skills, meet new friends. Registration for the Fall 2009 session is now open.
Classes start Tuesday, September 15, 6:30-9:30 pm at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden, Colorado. $90 fee is due September 8th, 2009. (Add a $10 late charge after 9/8.) Information and application at www.wts.cmcschools.org or CMC office at 303-279-3080.
