A Provo, Utah climber / programmer has designed a free tool for the easy creation of route lines on photos.

The program works much like a simplified photo editing program but with tools specifically designed for creating topos for climbing routes. BetaCreator Is both PC and Mac compatible.

BetaCreator is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

BetaCreator is an Adobe AIR application, and as such you will need to have Adobe AIR installed on your system first. You can get Adobe AIR here.

NOTE: Currently BetaCreator is in a beta release phase, meaning that there may be bugs and glitches I haven't found yet. Please report any problems or suggestions for future releases to betacreator@gmail.com, or post on this forum at mountainproject.com.
