Five More Things You Didn't Know About ... Eigernordwand
The Italian Claudio Corti was the first person rescued from the top of the Nordwand, in 1957, when German guide Alfred Hellepart was lowered on a steel cable from the summit. Corti’s partner Stephan Longhi, who had sustained injuries, died of exposure.

Justin Jaeger's Collection of Classic Boulder Problems
Justin Jaeger enjoys taking photos of his friends while climbing, and subsequently exploiting the photos to poke fun at them. He makes no claim to greatness; rather, he enjoys horrifying "real" photographers by explaining his use of inexpensive film, one-hour drug-store developing and the infamous “Photo CD” option to get his images into the digital realm. The following collection is a sacrificial offering to help subsequent photographers feel much more confident and dignified in their work. Justin was featured in last months OFF THE WALL 2 in our "Player" profile.  [http://www.climbing.com/exclusive/otw2/jaegerplayer1]

"Player" Profile: Sean McColl
In some circles, this month's "Player" needs no introduction. He's become a bit of a staple in Canada, no doubt, mentioned in the same breath as another well-known Canadian climber, Sonnie Trotter. And if you've paid any attention to climbing.com's news reports, his name consistently pops up.

10 Questions With Raudner, Lavarda, and Ociepka
In the last five months, five different women have sent 5.14b, bringing the grand total to 12. We profiled these women — and the rest of the "Women of 5.14b" — in our soon-to-come issue (No. 253) of Climbing. Look for it on stands at the end of October.
