Daniel Woods started climbing at the age of five in Dallas, Texas. Basically, he went outside for the first time, fell in love with the sport and developed a complete obsession. In 1997, his family moved to Colorado where he's been living for the last 10 years. In the Front Range he joined a junior climbing team and was fortunate enough to have amazing coaches, two of which are Justin Sjong and Jimmie Redo. As he grew older he began to compete in many competitions for both route climbing and bouldering. Bouldering is his forté, but hard sport routes are also a speciality of his. Daniel has recently relocated to Innsbruck, Austria where he has been training with world class athletes Kilian Fischuber and David Lama. "These guys have so much talent and something new to teach me everyday." Daniel said. "As for the future of my climbing, I just hope to push standards and climb my personal best. Climbing will always be an obsession and better yet my lifestyle.
