19-Year-Old Sends V15 in Japan
1/2/13 – Toru Nakajima, a 19-year-old Japanese climber, made the third ascent of Tokoyo (V15), in Kasagi, Japan.
Dai Koyamada, also from Japan, established the problem in November 2011; the problem took him 14 days to complete. According to UKClimbing.com, the second ascent was done by someone who wants to remain anonymous. See the video below for Nakajima’s ascent.
Nakajima was in Colorado this summer and put down many hard boulder problems at Lincoln Lake, including The Big Worm (V14) and several V13s. See that video here.
