8/30/11 - Yesterday, Japanese climber Dai Koyamada made the second ascent of Daniel Woods' In Search of Time Lost (V15) in Magic Wood, Switzerland. Woods established the problem in 2008.

In an email to ukclimbing.com, Koyamada said he worked on the problem for four days. "I am sure I am doing the right start and right line because I watched a video from Daniel Woods," he said. "I never want to be said I am in a wrong line again." He is referring to his ascent of The Story of Two Worlds (V15) in Cresciano. He apparently started too high on the route, and was not afforded the second ascent of the full line.

He plans to stay in Switzerland for 40 more days, so we will likely see more hard ascents by him in the near future.

Below is a video of Woods on Time Lost.

Date of ascent: August 29, 2011
