5/13/10 - Dai Koyamada from Japan has done the second ascent of The Story of Two Worlds, likely one of the hardest boulder problems in the world. Dave Graham established the problem in Cresciano, Switzerland, in early 2005, calling it the “new standard” for V15. By today’s standards, it might be considered harder.

The Story of Two Worlds is a sit start that links about half a dozen hard moves (V13/14) into an earlier V14 problem called The Dagger, put up by Toni Lamprecht.

Koyamada has given two of his own boulder problems the 8C+ (V16) grade: The Wheel of Life in Australia and Hydrangea in Japan. He has established or repeated more than a dozen V15 problems. Earlier during this visit to Switzerland, he did fast repeats of The Dagger and New Base Line (V14).

Date of Ascent: May 13, 2010
