Natalija Gros has redpointed Histerija, an 8c+ (5.14c) route at Misja Pec in Slovenia. The 23-year-old Slovenian woman began working on the route late last fall but had to stop for winter; she returned to the climb at the beginning of March. Intensive training for the upcoming competition season likely slowed her progress on the outdoor route, but after two days of rest she sent on her second try on March 26.

Gros redpointed her first 5.14 in 2005 and did a 5.14b in 2006, also at Misja Pec, Slovenia’s premier limestone crag. She was ranked third in the world last year in international bouldering competition, and ranked fourth in lead climbing, a combination that made here the most successful all-around competition climber in 2007.

Date of Ascent: March 26, 2008
