5.15 at Age 15?

Can a 15-year-old climb 5.15? It looks increasingly possible for Adam Ondra, the young Czech who just climbed his second 5.14+ route at age 14.Last weekend, Ondra repeated Erfolg ist trainierbar reclimbed at Austria’s Adlitzgraben crags, according to www.8a.nu. The climb originally was 5.14a but was upgraded to “at least 8c+” (5.14c) when it was finally repeated after a crucial hold broke.

Ondra climbed his first 9a (5.14d) last November, when he linked Martin Krpan at the Slovenian crag Misja Pec. The teen has redpointed 13 routes rated 8c+ (5.14c) since the end of 2005.
