On September 20th, Barbara Raudner made the third ascent of Keitos Palast (5.14b), in Höllental, Austria. Keitos Palast (a route first opened by Arthur Kubista in 2002) climbs a steep, powerful beginning to a crux dyno followed by technical climbing on small holds (without rests) bringing up the rear.

Raudner's ascent of this rarely done 5.14b moves her into an elite group of 12 women who've ticked the grade, with an amazing rush of five women sending in the last five months. Read more about the "Women of 5.14b" in Climbing's next issue, No. 253, due out on newsstands at the end of October.
