Robinson Grabs Fifth European V15

By Amanda Fox

3/24/11 - Paul Robinson made the second ascent of Angama (V15) yesterday, a Dai Koyamada problem in Fontainebleau. Robinson, finishing up his nine-month trip to Europe, describes the climb on his 8a.nu scorecard:

"2nd ascent. climbs SUPER well, flowy. so hard to do that last hard move at the end! around 18 moves total. a bit easier than trip hop imo. hard 8b+ boulder?? low end 8c?? hard to know. solid 8c trav. climbs morelike a boulder than a trav though... psyched! back to AMERICA on friday. wow, what an amazing 9 months!"

See photos of his send at his blog.

Robinson has climbed five V15s while in Europe, including The Story of Two Worlds and Trip Hop. He's ticked at least nine V14s and 18 V13s, with numerous other hard sends. He heads back to the States this weekend.

Date of ascent: March 23, 2011
