American Ethan Pringle and Canadian Sean McColl have had a brilliant autumn at Rodellar, Spain. Pringle, who made the fifth ascent of Realization (5.15a) in France one month ago, onsighted the two-pitch Rodellar route Iron Man (5.14b) and redpointed Los Borrachos de Mascun (5.14c) on the same day. A day later, he flashed Philipe Cuisiniere (5.14a). About a week earlier, Pringle, 21, redpointed the Rodellar 5.14b routes Pata Negra (second go) and Geminis (first try this visit). He felt all of the 5.14a and 5.14b routes he climbed at Rodellar were soft for their grades.

On October 4, McColl climbed three 5.14b routes in a single day, though he felt two of them might be soft. McColl sent Hulk on his second go, Ali-Baba on his fifth go, and Geminis on his third go. Earlier in the same visit, he climbed Welcome to Tijuana and Pata Negra, both also given 5.14b. McColl, 20, recently made the second ascent of the V14 Asian in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
