Ethan Pringle and Angie Payne won the second annual USAC SENDFEST in Salt Lake City on August 11th at The Front climbing gym, taking home a top prize purse of $1,000 each. In a tight field of the nation's strongest competition climbers, their slim victories were marked by a flash of Men's #2 for Pringle — a slopey problem done by only a handful of the top finishers — and a strong send of Women's #3 for Payne — a techy boulder problem that went unrepeated by the field. Bosley's lonely send of Men's #3 moved him narrowly past Sharma; Puccio and Johnson battled it out, sending Women's #4 (tying for second place), but upon reviewing Qualifier results, Johnson eeked out the $750 second place finish.

The pool of competitors for this event read as a "Who's Who?" of the U.S.'s top young climbers making news: Daniel Woods, Paul Robinson, Jon Cardwell; as well as the familiar faces of comps past, such as Chris Sharma, Obe Carrion, Matt Bosley, and Steven Jeffery.
