News Link: Slovenian climber Tomaz Humar is reportedly injured and stuck on the north face of Langtang Lirung (7,234 meters) in Nepal. According to the most recent reports, a Sherpa rescue team had climbed within 100 meters of Humar’s position on the face, at circa 6,300 meters, but had not yet located him. Humar had been attempting a solo climb of the face and was injured while descending, including a broken leg and possible broken ribs, according to news reports. He called for help on a satellite phone, but rescuers have been unable to reach him since on that phone.
