U.S. Youth Teams Selected
More than 300 young climbers gathered at ClubSport outside Portland, Oregon, last weekend for the 2006 Youth National Championship, and after it was all over the new U.S. Youth Teams for sport and speed climbing had been named. Members of the U.S. teams in the three oldest age groups, along with the winners of the continental championships in 2004, are invited to the Youth World Championships in Austria in late August. The next Continental Championship for lead and speed climbing will be held at the Rock’n & Jam’n gym near Denver in late November.
