Indian Creek Theft

Two back packs full of camming devices and other rock climbing equipment were stolen this weekend at the Hamburger Rock campground at Indian Creek in Utah. The total replacement value of the stolen gear is almost $10,000. The backpacks were left leaning against a vehicle as one occupant slept in the vehicle and six others slept at the campsite. The approximate time of the theft was 3 a.m. on Monday morning, April 10th.

Below is a summary of the stolen gear: - about 65 Black Diamond camalots and 20 CCH Aliens, some with the initials GGS or SP on the slings. - large green MEI backpack. - large green Gregory backpack. - various slings, biners, ropes, helmets, harnesses, climbing shoes, headlamps, etc.
