Climbing
JUST OUT
Stone-Cold Modern
From Climbing Magazine Issue No. 279 - October 2009

A few weekends ago, while prying choss off a new route, I sliced a finger on a razor arête, opening a gnarly, gushing five-stitcher. A pair of BLACK DIAMOND EQUIPMENT STONE ROCK GLOVES ($39.95, bdel.com) would have saved my bacon. I’ve since had a chance to use these goat-leather gloves belaying, jugging, and drilling. At 4.2oz and with a cush reinforced palm and knuckle patches, the Stone Rocks offered awesome comfort and grip — a winning combo. One great touch is the pull-tabs on the three-quarter-length fingers, which ease removal without any inside-out flippage. The Stone Rocks come in Black and Natural, and sizes XS through XL.
