10/13/10 – Paul Robinson has proposed V15 for a new problem in Magic Wood, Switzerland: Ill Trill. Robinson spent six days working the 13-move problem, which a friend had shown to him after Robinson climbed The Never Ending Story. "Amazing day in the Wood, temps were perfect!" Robinson says on his 8a.nu scorecard. "Harder than ANY 8b+ I have done. Feels about as hard as Terremer [V15 in Hueco Tanks, Texas]. Thirteen moves of every style, and none are easy with the crux final move."

Robinson has been climbing in Switzerland since mid-September; on September 21, he finished The Never Ending Story, on which he had broken his ankle attempting it two years ago. He has climbed several V14s and V13s while in Europe, including Radja (V14 in Branson) and Amber (V13 in Brione).

Also crushing in Switzerland is Carlo Traversi, who has spent most of his climbing time in Magic Wood. On October 7, he sent The Never Ending Story, and quickly followed up yesterday with two V13s: The Riverbed and Steppenwolf. "Another epic on that one," Traversi says on his blog about Steppenwolf. "First three tries, I fell off sticking the lip, then spent 10 goes falling off the previously easy (for me) first two moves. Then I sacked up and did it. Two 8Bs [V13s] in a day!" Visit his blog to read an extensive report about climbing in Magic Wood.

Alex Puccio has joined the American party in Magic Wood as well, taking down five V11 or harder problems, including The Never Ending Story Part 1 (V12), Massive Attack (V11/12), and Free for All (V11/12). "I am feeling pretty strong right now, and things are looking up," Puccio says on her 5.10 blog. "It’s so amazing to be here in Swizerland!"
