Adopt-a-Crag Challenge 2005- Nearly half way there

Boulder, CO, August 5, 2005- From Alaska to Georgia, Maine to California, Adopt-a-Crag is sweeping the country on course to be the biggest ever.  To date there are over 60 registered Adopt-a-Crags across the country- Nearly half way to the goal of 125.  As with all visions for success, we can’t do it alone.  The entire climbing community must join in this effort. 

Adopt-a- Crag is a national initiative devoted to natural resource stewardship and volunteerism.  You can clean your local crag or fix a trail- it’s up to you.  It’s up to all of us to give back to the places we climb. 

How can you do your part?  Easy, grab a friend and plan a clean-up at your favorite crag.  Be it your posse of 10 or the entire town, you can organize an Adopt-a-Crag and conserve the places that continually give all of us so much.  To download an Adopt-a-Crag manual, visit the Access Fund at:  accessfund.org/adopt
