TM Herbert Attends Rick Stockwell's 60th Birthday

Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite National Park — Climbing legend TM Herbert was on hand to celebrate Rick Stockwell’s 60th birthday party in Tuolumne Meadows July 21st. Director of Mountaineering, Dave Bengston of Yosemite Mountaineering School, put together a barbeque for the Yosemite climbing community to celebrate Stockwell’s 60th birthday.
Yosemite’s top climbers were in attendance, along with climbing legend TM Herbert. Dick Gude of New Balance, affectionately known to the climbing community as daGude, or the Great Gudini when doing magic, provided a magic show for Stockwell and his guests. One of his tricks included cutting a rope in two, and then restoring it back to one piece. TM Herbert provided humor and stated that on his next guided climb he would cut the rope between he and his client stating “No problem, watch me restore the rope…if the Great Gudini can do it…so can I.” Pictured below is TM (left) waving a magic wand to help the Great Gudini (right) cut and restore one of the climbing school's ropes.
