27th ANNUAL MOUNTAINFILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES THEME FOR THE MOVING MOUNTAINS SYMPOSIUM
Festival Dates: May 27-30, 2005
Friday May 27, 2005 will mark the beginning of the 27th annual four-day Mountainfilm Festival in the Mountains of Telluride, Colorado with the Moving Mountains Symposium from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Conference Center in the Mountain Village; a lunch will be included. The day will be filled with engaging presentations by the impassioned spirits that make Mountainfilm the venue for embracing the many facets of sustainability and Survival, the themes of this year’s symposium. These two words imply a delicate coexistence. How can we, as individuals and societies, engage in sustainable lifestyles? How can we deal with pressing environmental and social issues? Where are the solutions?
In addition to the Moving Mountains Symposium, our four venues in the Mountian Village and Telluride, Colorado will house four days of films, lectures, slide shows and our first annual family programming Saturday morning at our High Camp theatre from 9:30 to 12:00 with kid friendly films and good clean fun for all.
For 26 years Mountainfilm has created a unique wedding of films, photographs, filmmakers, scientists, adventurers, authors, journalists, environmentalists and political activists who annually rendezvous to share their work and ideas.
