The summer's HOT with events in Downtown Fort Collins

Downtown Fort Collins is gearing up for a very busy summer. The Downtown Business Association (DBA) is planning the 21st annual Colorado Brewers’ Festival, scheduling bands for Old Town Square and preparing for a fabulous Bohemian Night at NewWestFest. This summer, the DBA and Downtown Fort Collins events will host over 125 music groups, over 20 dance troupes, children’s performers and much more. Historic Downtown Fort Collins will be the backdrop for local bands, dancers, theatre groups, and the best regional musicians. All ages and musical tastes will flock to the “Heart of Fort Collins” this summer to enjoy some culture and tradition. Most of the events offered are FREE to the public thanks to dedicated event sponsors. The summer’s events also offer shopping, socializing, dining in the community’s historic area.

Noontime Notes Concert Series: An intimate concert series where you can appreciate jazz, classical, folk music and other genres while eating your lunch. Located in Oak Street Plaza in Downtown Fort Collins. Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. FREE

Ben & Jerry’s FAC Concert Series: Live music in Old Town Square to kick off each weekend! 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Presented by Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shoppe. FREE

Nelsen’s Old Town Car Show: A wide variety of cars including hot rods, vintage and classic favorites, trucks, and customs cars will line the streets of Downtown Fort Collins. Entries will be parked along Mountain Ave, Old Town Square, and Linden Street. 11 a.m. -5 p.m. FREE to Spectators

The Colorado Brewers’ Festival: The 21st Annual Colorado Brewers’ Festival will host more than 30 Colorado breweries, 400 kegs, and all six of Fort Collins’ breweries. People can experience the festival in a new format this year, including beer sampling sessions, opportunities to talk to the brewers, and a new Downtown Fort Collins location. The public can buy tickets online to any of the three tasting sessions. Tickets go on sale June 1 and are limited in quantity. The best Colorado beers are matched with the best local bands during this two-day celebration. New event location in Civic Center Park. 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

July 4

Fourth of July Downtown: Come celebrate the Fourth with live music and fun all day long! Located in Old Town Square Plaza, the activities include great live music, a beer garden, food vendors, and a relaxing atmosphere. Shuttles will provide transportation from Downtown to the City Park fireworks in the evening. Bring your lawn chair and your American pride to Downtown to celebrate the United States’ independence. 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. FREE

July 8, 9, 10

A Fort Collins Jazz Experience: Music, history, and the whole jazz experience are ready to enjoy! The Downtown Business Association has teamed up with local venues, educational groups and talented Colorado Jazz musicians to create this great experience. Saturday audiences can come enjoy the larger event day, two stages of free continuous jazz jams from local and regional musicians, jazz art, and educational sessions for students are at the Fort Collins Jazz Experience.

July 8, 9, 10

“Downtown Days” Sidewalk Sales: The streets will be lined with goodies, clothing, and lots of bargains! Come stroll and shop the sales in downtown. The sidewalks will be filled with entertainers, special sales at your favorite stores, and more. See specific stores for their stores hours and details.

August 20, 21, 22

Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest: This community festival’s 22nd year will feature eight stages of continuous live entertainment over two days with a Friday kick-off concert as part of Bohemian Nights' stellar music lineup. The weekend’s music lineup will feature nearly 60 Colorado bands and three national headliner shows. The festival celebrates Fort Collins’ 137th birthday by hosting more than 300 vendor booths, arts and crafts, all types of cuisine, a kids’ carnival, and several beer gardens all within the historic Downtown Fort Collins setting. The kick-off concert on Friday, August 20, will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Linden Street. Festival Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Saturday/ 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday FREE
