Experience more of your city in 6 hours than most do all summer!

The T-Mobile City Chase presented by BlackBerry is part of the World’s Largest Urban Adventure Series, an event filled with local challenges that force participants to push themselves mentally and physically as they truly get a crash course on all their city has to offer.

In three years, The City Chase Series has expanded into 10 new international markets – turning major cities into giant obstacle courses as the stage for The World’s Largest Urban Adventure. Part scavenger hunt, part obstacle course, and part Urban Adventure Race, The City Chase Series has provided over 20,000 participants with a full day of laughter, adventure, and discovery!

In August 2007, the City of Chicago welcomed City Chase to the U.S. with more than 1,000 participants hitting the streets for what they later referred to as “the best time they have ever had!” This was the largest launch event in City Chase history. Now City Chase will again (as it did in 2008) visit eight U.S. markets, and we have added Denver, Colorado, to be part of the excitement. This is our tour schedule – Registration opened March 22nd.

WHAT IS THE T-MOBILE CITY CHASE?

The T-Mobile City Chase presented by Blackberry is a unique urban adventure that requires teams of two to exhibit teamwork, leverage technology, resourcefulness, determination, and the ability to make decisions on the fly as they search for ChasePoint challenges scattered in unknown locations throughout the city. Focusing more on the journey than the destination, participants will learn about their city, their teammate, and themselves as they enjoy a full day of laughter, adventure, and discovery through an original urban race experience!

How does it work?

The event starts with teams receiving a clue sheet detailing a variety of physical, intellectual, and humorous challenges, designed to push comfort zones. Located throughout the city, these challenges will test mind, body, and spirit. To conquer this 4-6 hour urban event, teams will run, walk, and use public transit to navigate their way throughout city, while calling family and friends for help, accessing the Internet, and even employing assistance of total strangers. The first team to complete the required number of ChasePoints and cross the finish line wins! This team will represent their city at the U.S. National to be held in a secret location, and the winner of the U.S. National will represent the U.S. at the world championship.
