Wyoming Sees First 5.14d
8/6/12 – BJ Tilden of Lander, Wyoming, has completed what’s likely his state’s hardest route with Moonshine, potentially falling at 5.14d.
Moonshine sits at The Erratic, a shady crag at Wild Iris. According to his 8a.nu scorecard, Tilden bolted this line in 2002 and has been working on it since. More information to come.
In April, Tilden established Wyoming’s then-hardest route with Double Down (5.14c), which is located in the Moss Cave/Wave Cave at Sinks Canyon. Double Down is a link-up of Smoke Shapes and Dealer Calls, featuring mostly mono pockets.
