Zanskar Odyssey
Video by Cryptochild - This fall, Colorado climbers Pete Takeda, Abbey Smith, Jason Kehl and Mick Follari journey to that lofty crossroads where continents meet, ancient cultures mingle, and great religions clash — the kingdom of Zanskar in the Indian Himalayas. They're looking for adventure, a fresh perspective, and the most aesthetic boulders in the world's greatest mountain range. It's a postmodern blend of traditional expedition climbing and new school bouldering --it's a search for the highest hardest climbing moves in the world.

Jacinda Hunter: Driving Force
Video by Mike Call - Jacinda Hunter, a nurse and mother of four (two boys and two girls), juggles work and parenthood with bouldering V11 and redpointing 5.14b. She says, “usually when I make up my mind to do something, I get it done.” Jacinda feels her biggest challenge is being a good parent and good example for her kids. “It’s hard to find time to provide opportunities for their interests and growth, and still have time to indulge in my own passions like climbing.” Jacinda and her husband, Mike, don’t have a TV — instead, the whole family goes on climbing trips together. Breaking the Law, her hardest route, was a "long, cold winter project with the family."

First Blind Ascent of Alpamayo
Erik Weihenmayer (touchthetop.com) recently completed the first blind ascent of Alpamayo, a striking mountain in the Peruvian Andes that reaches 19,511 feet. Weihenmayer climbed the French Direct line on the peak with friend Eric Alexander and local Peruvian guide Rodrigo Callupe. Rather than spend time acclimatizing, the climbers headed immediately up the mountain, setting up camp at 18,200 feet. Weihenmayer had already started to feel effects of the high altitude (and cattle-tainted water). Beginning the summit push at 1:30 a.m., the team waded through fresh snow and then ten pitches of technical climbing.

Squamish in a Day
Video by Cedar Wright - This summer, I had the pleasure of giving a presentation at the Squamish Mountain Film Festival and arrived a day early to do some shooting with the perhaps overly ambitious idea of presenting an original climbing film that I shot and cut in a day. It turned out to be a lot of work, and I literally didn't sleep for a night to get this ready for the show, but everyone was super psyched to see a slice of their home area presented to them in near real time. This movie features Jason Kruk, Will Stanhope, Tommy Caldwell, and Hazel Findlay crushing Squamish's world class stone! Hope you enjoy it!

Boulder World Cup 2010 Report #6 - Sheffield
Video by Udo Neumann - With only one more Bouldering World Cup of 2010 left, climbers have upped their game, fighting neck and neck for the gold. Winner Chloe Graftiaux of Belgium and runner-up American Alex Johnson were separated only by one attempt. Czech climber Adam Ondra was way ahead of the men's field in finals, topping out every boulder with only France's Cedric Lachat behind him. Kilian Fischhuber of Austria finished a disappointing tenth but remains first in rankings, with Ondra close behind. Graftiaux's win put her on top in rankings, with Austria's Anna Stohr falling to third.

It has given me the opportunity to meet so many awesome people and has led me to cool places around the world. There is nothing better than traveling around and getting to climb at different places. There are so many different types of rock and various types of movements, and I want to experience them all!"
