Madaleine Sorkin recently sent Freeline (5.13b R) in Eldorado Canyon, Colorado, after working the route for five days. A little over a year ago, Boulder local Jenn Flemming grabbed the first female ascent of the line. See mountainproject.com for more info about the route.
Sorkin will be doing a multi-media slide show tour across the Midwest and East Coast June, 2011, for Girls Education International, a non-profit that supports educational opportunities for underserved females in remote and undeveloped regions of the world. She will share her numerous big-wall free climbing adventures from Zion’s Moonlight Buttress and Yosemite’s El Capitan to Mt. Probiscus in the northernmost region of Canada.
