Photos by Georg Lenz / www.lenzfoto.de - Bouldering naturally offers better working (shooting) conditions compared to roped climbing, but the German photographer Georg Lenz also enjoys that too. Shown here is a collection of problems (and climbers) from the European boulderfields of: Laurenzofels, near Alsace, France; Pfalz, near Heidelberg and Karlsruhe, Germany; Magic Wood, near Averstal, Switzerland; and Ticino in the Verzasca Valley, Switzerland.
Bouldering: It takes quite a long walk up a steep Mountainside to reach the remote Hochberg Area in Pfalz. But that day this wasn't the only annoyance, it was cold and rather wet too. So this 5c called "Hohe Kante" seemed quite right as a warm up. But it's not "high" as it's name suggests, nor a Fb 5c, at least I thought so.... Photo by George Lenz / www.lenzfoto.de
