IFSC European Youth Series - Edinburgh, Scotland
Photos by Lukasz Warzecha / LWimages.co.uk - On September 19-20, 2009, the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena in Ratho hosted the IFSC's European Youth Series Climbing Competition. 147 of the world's best young competitiors, from 17 different countries, climbed on EICA's awe-inspiring adjustable angle competition wall. Mario Lechner of Austria closely won the Junior Men's class despite an injury to his knee that he suffered while warming up on Saturday (only one point split the difference between 1st and 3rd place). France's Charlotte Durif Won the Junior Women's class and is unbeaten so far this year in the European Youth Series.
