Moonstone 800 Lucid - Sleeping Bag Review

Moonstone 800 Lucid $260, 1lb 13oz, 20F
Summary: The ghostly white shell on the Moonstone 800 Lucid is spooky; you can see right through to the insulation. Luckily, the translucent appearance of the Pertex X-Ray 1.1 fabric does not affect its durability or weather resistance, both of which are excellent. The Lucid also benefits from open side baffles for an extended temperature range and a full-length zipper maximizes its versatility. Unfortunately, the bag’s zip did occasionally snag on the draft tube, and the hood closure lacks a baffle. These shortcomings are minimal, however, especially when you note the reasonable price of $260 for a one pound, 13 ounce, 20-degree-rated bag.
Pros: Durable; great weather resistance
Cons: No hood baffle; zipper occasionally snagged
Overall grade: B
