After a week of anticipation, Chris Sharma and Stefan Glowacz have revealed their secret mega project. The legendary pair climbed the first ascent of Majlis al Jinn in Oman. Majlis al Jinn is the second largest cavern in the world, and they're billing it as the world's largest roof climb. They did the route in 13 pitches of 5.13a to 5.14a. It's a breathtaking route, but the best part of the video is seeing Sharma take huge whipper after whipper.

There is a similar cave on the outskirts of Doha in Qatar. You can actually walk into it down a long sand slope. Much younger rock though and with some smooth evaporite layers that may need a row of bolt-ons.

Wow- what rude comments...... Anyhow- Nice job you two! Disregard the naysayers & haters above, just pity them. That was awesome! How long did the ascent take? Who discovered and bolted the route? Limestone? That is a great setting and climb in a amazing and remote spot. Thanks for sharing! Climb Hard. Climb Safe.

by what measurement is this the 2nd largest cavern ... i assume you really mean 2nd largest room in a cave ?? but is the measurement by volume of the room?

Traveling to beautiful, remote, natural features . . . and drilling holes in them. Awesome.

Was there no knot at the end of the rap line thrown down at 2:05? Be careful, folks.
