Thirteen-year-old Kai Lightner climbs Southern Smoke (5.14c) at the Red River Gorge, Kentucky. Lightner, from North Carolina, climbed his first 5.14a with Omaha Beach in March. Three weeks later, he traveled east to the New River Gorge in West Virginia and finished Proper Soul (5.14a). Then during the first weekend of April, Lightner climbed Transworld Depravity (5.14a) and Southern Smoke, skipping the grade 5.14b completely.

I love how calm he is throughout the whole climb. He doesn't scream or carry on like a lot of climbers do (myself included sometimes).
