Come on, come on! So close, so close! Rei Sugimoto makes the impossible topout at the IFSC Boulder World Cup in Grindelwald, Switzerland. Sugimoto placed fourth in the overall competition. First place went to Jan Hojer and Shauna Coxsey, in the men's and women's divisions, respectively. Coxsey's victory marks the first time a British woman has won a World Cup event.

he didn't 'Top Out' so it's not really an impossible 'Top Out' is it?

Javier, you're right, Hojer top out, but in official(?) results it only has a bonus: http://www.ifsc-climbing.org/index.php/world-competition#!comp=1532&cat=6&route=3

I seem to remember at least Sharafutdinov top it out?

At least one other climber finished the problem. Jan Hojer, due to his height and reach, managed to grab the last hold without going into the corner and stepping on the bonus hold. Check at 1:32:00, https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=KOVnAiFpCZ8#t=5548
