Not all pro climbers live a glamorous jetsetting life, and Ian Dory falls into that category. He fits training and hard ascents in between working on the family farm, coaching climbing, and going to school. It took him two years to mentally prepare for his send of Paint It Black (V15), Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, and it was well worth the wait. Filmmaker Nelson Carayannis followed him for more than 18 months of the process, watching him fail, get beat up, and be continuously humbled by this extremely challenging boulder problem. Watch the trailer here, and check back Monday at 10 a.m. ET for the premier of the full short film, available exclusively on climbing.com.
