GEN III ECWCS is a seven layer system which is changing the way the American Soldier can fight by providing more options and the highest possible performance to today’s warfighter. It is based on layering systems currently used by mountaineering professionals and designed for the U.S. Army. Wild Things®, Inc. specially designed the Loft Layer VII for this system. In conjunction with ADS, Inc., the systems lead integrator; they are currently manufacturing the Level VII Extreme Cold Weather Parka and Trouser. Constructed with a wind proof, water repellent outer shell, and PrimaLoft® Sport Thermal bonded high-loft insulation, Level VII is highly durable and breathable.

Wild Things®, Inc. is also manufacturing similar clothing systems for other branches of the U.S. military. Special Forces soldiers and Marine Corps troops will benefit from the warmth and comfort of this advanced clothing. The Marine Corps named their outfit the “Happy Suit”. The set includes an extreme cold weather parka, trouser and booties. These light weight garments can be packed to a minimum volume and be easily carried with other mission essential gear.
