The Edelrid Autana Harness.

While technically a light (11.2 oz S) alpine rig, the bluesign-certified Autana felt like a “high-end sending harness.” Along with its men’s counterpart, the Sendero, it represents an interesting merger of a broad, perforated waistbelt and adjustable leg loops (the Soft Frame construction) with inner-thigh mesh patches—comfy for lowering, belays, rapping, etc. Our tester loved the rounded edges—no pressure points, even on the backs of her thighs. She praised the supportive, butterfly-cut waistbelt, as well as the organic, outward tilt of the 5 gear loops—oriented mainly on the posterior for access in the alpine, away from bulky jackets, etc. MSRP: $85,
