The Salewa Dropline Running Shoes.

Our knees would like to thank the creators of the Dropline. Its combo of high-rebound performance EVA for cushion and stability, POMOCA S-PATH Dropline outsole for traction, and Ortholite footbed for comfort delivered a technical alpine running shoe that can handle long days in the mountains or around camp. It performed well on long runs in the Flatirons, and allowed our tester to recover faster, with fewer aches and pains. You “feel the spring,” he said, noting that the Dropline handles incredibly well on both moderate and technical trail. To top it off, the protective stretch lace gaiter kept dirt, rocks, and snow out so feet stayed happy and dry. MSRP: $140
