Winter always means more time in the gym than outside. There are a variety of nutritional supplements you can use to optimize those hours of plastic struggle. We like Gnarly’s BCAA supplement to power through hard gym sessions. The body normally obtains branched-chain amino acids—leucine, isoleucine, and valine—from proteins found in meat, dairy, and legumes. Taking BCAA’s as a supplement allows the body to recover faster during and after hard work outs. While training, I noticed steady performance throughout longer sessions. The slight amount of caffeine helped keep my energy levels high, and the supplement helped suppress my appetite so I could focus on campusing, dead hanging, and flexing in front of the mirror.
