“Can you hand me the stick clip?” Kevin Corrigan said after I’d clipped the first bolt on Stric Tone, a bouldery limestone route in Bohinjska Bela, Slovenia. A few routes over, Corrigan tagged the 10-oz collapsible stick clip up to hang a draw on his project as well. Going to Europe meant traveling to new crags with unknown bolting ethics. With a folded length of 20.5”, the stick clip easily fit inside my luggage and then in my backpack when heading to the crag. Extended, it lengthened my reach by 85”. You can quickly and easily clip both hangers and the rope with this stick; the hardest thing was keeping the stick extended, but a thread at the bottom helped with that. For the traveling sport climber, this collapsible stick clip is a key piece of artillery.
