The Metolius Wood Grips Compact Hangboard

Climbing_ECLogo_2018

The Wood Grips Compact has been a welcome addition to my garage gym, both thanks to its small size (24” by 6.2”) and hold smoothness—I’ve always loved Metolius’s skin-friendly wood grips and boards. The Compact has everything you need: jugs and power-building slopers on top, full-pad edges and pockets in the middle, and a matching set of half-pad tinies on the bottom. Having the two rows of identically shaped but differently sized holds made for great offset pullups and hangs. Chalk brushes right off, and the texture is impeccable: viable even with shredded tips. Also comes in a Deluxe version, with four rows of holds ($100).
