2019, 2020 USA Climbing Bouldering National Championships Announced for Bend, Oregon

USA Climbing, the United States national governing body for the sport of sport climbing announced today that it has awarded the 2019 and 2020 USA Climbing: Bouldering National Championships to Deschutes County Fairgrounds Expo Center in Bend, Oregon. The USA Climbing: Bouldering Open National Championship competition will take place on February 1 and 2, 2019 and January 31 and February 1, 2020. The USA Climbing: Bouldering Youth National Championship competition will take place on February 8, 9, and 10, 2019 and February 7, 8, and 9, 2020. The events will feature the most elite adult and youth athletes in the country competing for a place on the national US Team in the discipline of bouldering. 

“We’re thrilled to be the host city for Bouldering Nationals,” said Kevney Dugan, Visit Bend CEO. “Smith Rock State Park is regarded by many as the birthplace of American sport climbing, so it’s exciting to offer a venue that’s just a stone’s throw away. We look forward to sharing all our amazing winter recreation opportunities with athletes and fans.”
