Anton Krupicka is a well-known endurance athlete based in Boulder, Colorado. Recently, Krupicka came across an injured Kyle Walker during one of his runs in the Flatirons. Walker had fallen while free soloing the Second Flatiron and captured the ordeal on video, which then went viral and caused controversy. We spoke to Krupicka to get his account of the accident, and to learn how this accident and others have impacted his own feelings about his craft. We also have a conversation with Chris Schulte, a professional climber, boulderer, and recent recipient of the Access Fund’s Climbing Advocate Award. We speak to Schulte about alpine bouldering, what inspires him to put up first ascents, and how he got into climbing in the first place. Presented by Evolv. Music by Small Houses.
