Beyond Everything Tried AlreadyBeta Clothing Designs was established in 2001 by David Smith, an avid rock climber and OCAD graduate of Industrial Design. His passion for rock climbing and his social conscience fused with his love of clothing design and Beta was born. The brand’s mission is to provide individuals with active lifestyles uncompromisingly stylish clothes with a social conscience at an affordable price.

The “Beta” in Beta Clothing Designs is derived from a climbing term that describes the information given to a climber to help them successfully climb a route. “Beta” helps climbers attain new heights and the concept inspired Beta Clothing to push past traditional views of what athletic apparel can aspire to, and create a company, a clothing line, and a brand that are truly beyond everything tried already.
