After finishing 15th three weeks earlier in Prague, Alex Chabot returned to the top of the World Cup podium at Valence in southern France last weekend. The Frenchman beat Evgueni Ovtchinnikov of Russia and Ramón Julián of Spain to solidify his lead in the overall World Cup standings. American Vadim Vinokur finished 24th and Cody Roth tied for 46th place in Valence. Among the women, 17-year-old Angela Eiter of Austria took her second World Cup victory in a month. Overall leader Muriel Sarkany of Belgium finished second, and Sandrine Levet of France was third.
