Where is it?The Chicago Athletic Club (CAC) has six walls located in three health clubs in Chicago and Evanston, Illinois. Evanston Athletic Club (EAC) is at 1723 Benson Ave, Evanston; Lincoln Park Athletic Club (LPAC) is at 1019 W Diversey in Chicago; and Lakeview Athletic Club (LVAC) is at 3212 N. Broadway in Chicago.
What's in it? CAC has six climbing walls featuring every facet of climbing from crack to face, dihedrals to arête, slab to sustained overhangs. Each Club has routes of over 50 feet of worldclass climbing on Entre Prises Climbing walls. All the walls are fully leadable.
What's the standout feature? EAC offers two climbing walls, one with a 50-foot dihedral and another with six-foot roof. EAC also sports a full bouldering cave. LPAC offers three seasonal outdoor climbing walls nearly 70 feet high. LPAC also offers a tread-wall to train on in the off-season. LVAC has a towering 50-foot EP Freeform wall enclosed in glass in a super swank club and a Freeform bouldering area to boot.
