Austrian Nina Arch extended the women's dyno record by nearly 10 inches at a competition in Britain. Official dyno contests are held on a slightly overhanging wall with the target jug at a 45-degree diagonal from the starting holds. Arch added 25 centimeters to the old mark to set a new record of 2.15 meters (about 7 feet).
In the men's contest, German Peter Wuerth just missed breaking the men's record of 2.7 meters. Wuerth equaled the current mark and tried three times to raise the bar to 2.75 meters (9 feet!), but couldn't quite hang on to the jug and set a new world record.
