Comment period for Indian Creek BLM plan ends Oct. 24The initial comment period for the Bureau of Land Management’s Environmental Assessment of the Indian Creek, Utah, corridor is about to end. Unfortunately, very few climbers have submitted comments to the land-management agency concerning the plan, which assesses the impact of camping, trails, climbing areas, user-group conflicts, and human waste management. After October 24, the BLM will begin drafting the assessment report, which will include what the agency determines to be appropriate measures for managing the area. Climbers will then have an opportunity to comment on the various plans the agency puts forth, but the last date for open comments is October 24.
