It's Chabot, Sarkany in Chamonix


Alex Chabot of France and Muriel Sarkany of Belgium returned to their winning ways at the Chamonix World Cup, July 12-13. In front of a crowd reported at 10,000 people, Sarkany used 11 minutes 59 seconds of her 12 minutes of allotted time to flash the final and win the women’s comp, her first victory of the year. Chabot had no such problems, easily besting runner-up Tomás Mrázek of the Czech Republic. Chabot has won two of the first three World Cup comps of the season. A small American contingent competed on both the men’s and women’s courses. Vadim Vinokur placed best of the lot, making the semifinals and finishing tied for 18th. Men 1. Alex Chabot (FR) 2.
