James Litz, the Tennessee stud, has been galloping up Hueco Tanks’ hardest boulder problems since mid-December. Litz made the second ascent of Esperanza, the Fred Nicole V14 established in 2001 and said to be the toughest problem at the Texas state park. He also completed the second ascent of Algrita (V13) and repeated a host of V12s, along with flashing three V10 and two V11 problems: Flower Power and Rogered in the Shower. Meanwhile, roving strongman Matt Wilder flashed the V12 Martini on the Rocks earlier this week, one of five V12 problems he has completed in the last three weeks.
