It was bound to come to this: According to www.planetfear.com, Scott Muir has established one of the world’s hardest mixed-climbing routes — in the summer. Too Fast, Too Furious is a 40-meter roof in Birnam Quarry, Scotland. Climbing with ice tools and crampons, Muir graded the route M12, which would make Too Fast, Too Furious one of the two or three hardest mixed climbs in the world, even though there was no ice anywhere on the route. The climb was repeated a month later by Dave MacLeod, after four days of work.
