2/9/13 – Two days after he redpointed La Dura Dura, likely the world’s hardest sport climb, Adam Ondra has concluded his latest trip to Spain by making the second ascent of Fight or Flight (9b/5.15b), also at the Oliana crags in Catalunya. The route was first climbed by Chris Sharma in May 2011. Sharma warmed down that day by climbing Chaxi (9a+/5.15a), thus climbing two 5.15 pitches in the same day.
For Ondra, Fight or Flight was the third 5.15 during a little over two weeks in Catalunya. On January 25, the first day of his visit, he sent Power Inverter (9a+/5.15a), yet another Sharma route, despite wet rock in the upper part of the route. The 20-year-old Czech finally completed La Dura Dura (9b+/5.15c) after an estimated 70 attempts over several visits, on February 7.
Date of ascent: February 9, 2013
